Understanding the needs of the elderly, finding solutions to their problems, and planning suitable services for them highlight the necessity of multifaceted research. In particular, it underscores the importance of conducting social work studies to understand the cognitive, psychological, and social functionality of elderly individuals who spend their daytime hours alone or live alone, aiming to identify their needs and generate solutions based on their experiences. In this context, the 'Psychosocial Support Project for Elderly Individuals' has been initiated in collaboration with neighborhood muhtars (local leaders) in the Ayrancı district of Çankaya, Ankara Province, with the aim of obtaining clear and reliable data about the situation of the elderly population. Within the project, the 'Multidimensional Observation Scale for Elderly Individuals,' which has been validated and is used to identify the multidimensional needs of elderly individuals, will be employed. This project is fundamentally focused on gathering scientific data for future projects. The data collected will serve as a valuable resource for future projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life of elderly individuals within the community. The project outcomes and the social life experiences of the elderly will guide the community in providing more support and services to elderly individuals."
