Be Active, Beat Obesity Project

Be Active, Beat Obesity Project

Today, when unhealthy eating habits and lack of physical activity are common, it is vital to educate our youth on physical activity, social awareness, healthy eating culture and obesity. Therefore, with the “Be Active, Defeat Obesity Project”, we aim to improve the quality of life of young people who will participate in the Erasmus+ Program in line with the goal of living a healthy and high quality life, one of the Sustainable Development Goals. This is what we aim to achieve; * Raise awareness among young people from all over Europe about the need for good nutrition, physical fitness and general health * Raise awareness about how important it is to pay attention to the fact that an unhealthy lifestyle is detrimental to one's health * Facilitate the exchange of information and ideas among young people involved in the activities * Draw attention to the fact that obesity can also be caused by psychological problems and inform young people about this * Ensure that our young people have enough knowledge about how to lead a healthy life, *Contribute to a “Sustainable Europe” in the fields of nutrition, sport and health *Promote social inclusion and youth mobility. Within the scope of these goals, we will contribute to raising awareness on obesity by organizing activities with young people from Latvia, Bulgaria and Malta for 5 days. Professionals such as dieticians, psychologists and yoga experts will take part in our activities to provide information about obesity. Thus, while interacting with each other and establishing intercultural dialogue, they will make healthy living a principle and will be able to help their peers on issues such as healthy nutrition and the importance of doing sports.
